We are a 100% grass fed sheep farm, raising sheep primarily for meat production. We are selling pregnant ewes and ewe lambs from our sheep flock to make sure our flock size remains within our pasture grazing capacity.

Wool sheep, primarily Dorset x Ile De France, with some Texel, CVM, and minimal Cheviot, Katahdin, and Southdown genetics in flock.

100% grass fed genetics, no grain ever. Rotationally grazed in the summer, bale fed on pasture in the winter. Majority of genetics are originally from Janet McNally’s Tamarack Lamb & Wool flock, with new diverse genetics added over the last 9 years.

We lamb on pasture in May, selecting for good mothering traits and unassisted births. The lambing rate is a little over 1.6

Naturally raised, have never received hormones or vaccines, but willing to vaccinate any sheep as requested before transporting to a new farm. Have been breeding / selecting for parasite resistance, with minimal chemical de-wormers used, once a year at most.

Rams never receive chemical de-wormers, so that we only keep genetics which are parasite resistant. Parasite resistance is dependent on multiple factors, especially management and overall health. Rotational grazing is important for breaking the parasite life cycle, you cannot depend on genetics alone.
