We are working towards an ecologically resilient farm that provides us and our community with a wide variety of delicious foods.

We raise 100% grass-fed lamb, mutton, and beef, alongside two acres of organic vegetables.

Work share is a commitment to work a certain number of shifts with us in the veggie field on the farm, in exchange for your box of produce.

Work share shifts are available on Mondays and Tuesdays either 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm.

We have several options for how to structure your work share. You can commit to a weekly or bi-weekly shift and receive your box only on days when you work. Or you can receive your share weekly on Thursdays and commit to a certain number of shifts as a way to discount your share. For example:

  • Commit to 15 shifts and save $600 off your share

  • Commit to 10 shifts and save $400 off your share

  • Commit to 5 shifts and save $200 off your share

As a work share member, we ask that you bring a willingness to work hard, a tolerance for various weather conditions, and an interest in learning. The expectations of working share members is that you will be able to work hard for the full 3 hours, therefore we discourage bringing children under the age of 12. We depend on work share! Please only sign up if you are serious about fulfilling the commitment.

Help us make the Food for the People program an even bigger success in 2023 for justice in distribution of fresh, local food.

The mission of the Food for the People program is to provide locally grown food to Black, Indigenous, and communities of color while supporting local, diverse farmers to earn a living wage. We believe everyone should have access to locally and responsibly grown farm food, not just those with financial wealth. We believe that operating a small farm and feeding ones community should be a dignified job, not one of poverty and scarcity. Our program has specific aims to build enduring relationships with those most disenfranchised by our current food system in order to transform it.

We believe access to fresh, nutrient dense food from local farmers should be a human right.

We are a 100% grass fed sheep farm, raising sheep primarily for meat production. We are selling pregnant ewes and ewe lambs from our sheep flock to make sure our flock size remains within our pasture grazing capacity.

100% grass fed genetics, no grain ever. Rotationally grazed in the summer, bale fed on pasture in the winter. Majority of genetics are originally from Janet McNally’s Tamarack Lamb & Wool flock, with new diverse genetics added over the last 9 years.

We lamb on pasture in May, selecting for good mothering traits and unassisted births. The lambing rate is a little over 1.6
